This will probably anger Keeny (amongst others) quite a bit, but thats just too bad, he should 11/19.

Long, long ago, in a college dorm room far away (St Peter, MN), Keeny updated his AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) profile with quotes on a daily basis. Most were funny, some were hilarious, but all were inside jokes that a lot of people didn’t get. One fateful November day (the 19th, I believe it was) he decided to put up a quote that read, “Dont worry about it, Andy”, or something to that tune, for Andy, known to most of the world as Tony Peterson, was known to question things that he didn’t necessarily need to know at a particular time.

The response was, “Don’t worry about it, Andy”, at which point, Andy would get a little worked up that he wasn’t being told some general knowledge that the rest of us may or may not have known at that time. Sometimes he would ask again, other times he would ask other people, and eventually the joke of, “Everyone tell Andy to ‘not worry about it’ cause he gets mad”.

He really didn’t get that mad, just a little flustered. But things seem to be blown out of proportion on a regular basis with this group of guys (which isn’t a bad thing at all, and only adds to the hilarity of most situations), so in the normal telling of the story, Andy was PISSED.

So the response of “Dont worry about it” became normal to hear at least once or twice after any question asked of any of the guys that were in on this joke. Repeated questions within earshot of the original questionee would only elicit a shouted “DON’T WORRY ABOUT IT” from nearly the entire group.

And then November 19th came around. Keeny put up that quote on his AIM profile, and “Don’t worry about it” became the extremely ambiguous (and therefore *much* more used) “eleven nineteen”, an overnight sensation in our group.

So that’s the story. Now you wont have to ask for a definition at the 11/19 party next week (11/19 is observed on the night before Thanksgiving, so that we can have a party, duh), and more importantly, your questioning of what 11/19 means at the 11/19 party wont need the response of “ELEVEN NINETEEN”, which you have to admit that until you read this, made absolutely no sense at all.
